Material Analyst
SigmaNEST Material Analyst removes all the guess work from the material ordering process. Specify any sheet size selection criteris and save these settings for future use. When importing part requirements, this application dynamically creates parametric shape parts at specified dimensions and indicates the best sheet options available.
In addition, it generates a sheet list of what needs to be ordered, based on the nested layouts provided:
- Accounts for individual machine limitations by inputting maximum and minimum length, width and weight quantities of material
- Material-based task parameters ensure that nesting takes place in accordance with what is necessary when work order is placed on the production floor
- After parameters are set, the entire analysis runs automatically
- Outputs best dimensions of sheet/ plate material for a given set of parts
- Can be set-up to consider material that is “on hand” when choosing the most appropriate sheet size for the job
- Select Best Sheet Option to either provide mixing sheet dimensions with maximum finish, mixing sheet dimensions with remnant, or a best one solution for all sheets
- Output can be a flat test file or SigmaNEST report format
