Meet Our Team
Ben TerreBlanche founded SigmaTEK Systems, LLC, in 1993, in partnership with Pierre Slabber, his former engineering student at the University of Witwatersrand in his native South Africa. Ben and his family moved to the United States in 1996 to launch the SigmaNEST software product, a powerful CAD/CAM nesting solution that utilizes highly advanced algorithms to automate the nesting process and optimize material use, machine capabilities, and manufacturing processes. Today, SigmaNEST software is widely recognized as the leading nesting software for all major profile cutting machines.
Prior to founding SigmaTEK, Ben started MECAD Systems, an engineering software reselling company. Through this in-depth work with manufacturing software, Ben gained the experience he and his team needed to successfully launch SigmaTEK Systems in the US.
Ben graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1979. He worked as a design engineer, manufacturing engineer, and CAD/CAM software applications engineer until 1984 when he was appointed Senior Lecturer at an Engineering School in SA. After completing his MBA at University of Witwatersrand, he spent a year with Engineering Mechanics Research Corporation in Troy, MI in 1986. Ben and his family reside in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Jandre joined SigmaTEK after receiving a Mechanical Engineering degree from Cedarville University (Cedarville, OH). Over the years he progressed through technical and management positions with the company. From an international perspective Jandre was instrumental in the formation and management of the SigmaTEK Korean branch office.
Today, Jandre has assumed the role of Director of Corporate Strategy. He is responsible for guiding SigmaTEK’s growth strategy along with next generation products and services. In 2013, Jandre was recognized by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in the inaugural “30 Under 30: Upcoming Leaders in Manufacturing” list of honorees. Jandre and his family reside in Cincinnati where he is currently pursuing an MBA degree.
Glenn began working with SigmaNEST in 2011 as a Technical Sales and Services Engineer. He managed projects from first discovery through final go-live and was extensively involved in SigmaNEST installations, configurations, trainings, and support, as well as custom solution development.
In the fall of 2014, Glenn took responsibility for the Operations departments at SigmaTEK. In this new role, he led the Americas Support and Technical Projects teams, as well as the Machine Technology Group and the Information Technology Group.
Glenn began his tenure in 2017 as our Vice President, Engineering. He now oversees development of the SigmaTEK Suite of products as well as serving as the technical and sales liaison for South America. With a mechanical engineering degree from Georgia Tech, Glenn brings technical expertise, business and professional experience, and leadership skills to our team.
Paul started at SigmaTEK as an Application Engineer after graduating from Cedarville University (Cedarville, OH) with a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering in 2011.
As the lone technical resource to the Seattle office, he progressed upwards to Assistant Technical Support Manager and OEM Technical Manager – traveling around the world to impart technical knowledge to customers, resellers, and machine manufacturers.
His current role as Product Director involves prioritization of business strategy and stakeholder needs to produce innovative products and features for our users.
Paul and his family call Lynnwood, WA home and in his free time he enjoys hiking in the Pacific Northwest, playing guitar, and writing apps.
John graduated from Stellenbosch University with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
John and his family relocated to the United States from South Africa in 1999, when John joined SigmaTEK Systems as a Software Developer. In 2008, John transitioned into a management role as the Development Manager, where he implemented strategic systems. In 2012 John was promoted to Vice President of Operations. Today John serves as the company’s Vice President of Engineering.
A twenty-five year industry veteran, Joe’s experience was built from the shop floor up. Introduced to fabrication as a grinder and machine operator, he later he became a cutting machine programmer shop foreman, and fabrication manager. Joe has been in manufacturing software sales since 1990.
He joined SigmaTEK in 2009, now heads the SigmaTEK Asia office in Thailand, and is responsible for OEM partnerships, international business development, and complex corporate sales.
Chris joined the SigmaTEK Team in October 2009 as General Manager and has over 29 years’ experience within the Sheet Metal and Plate industry. A seasoned industry professional he has had a series of senior management roles and Directorial positions.
He brings with him a wealth of experience in strategic management and has operated extensively in domestic and international markets.
Sushil holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (CAD/CAM) from University of Cincinnati, USA and an M.B.A (Executive) from Symbiosis Institute of Management, Pune, India.
Sushil joined SigmaTEK as a software developer in 2003. Having contributed to development in the early years of his career, he was involved in setting up of Vaal Triangle as an offshore development center division based in Pune completely from scratch in 2005.
As a Managing Director for Vaal Triangle, he worked in setting up the initial teams and processes until 2007 and relocated to India. From an initial team size of 5 to current team size 40, in the last 12 years, Vaal Triangle has grown well and established itself as a technically competent division under his leadership delivering successfully on several fronts, most notable being SigmaTUBE, which has been a complete from the scratch successful product implementation from the India division. Vaal Triangle has been growing steadily under his leadership from a strength of 5 people in 2005 to current strength of 40, and has teams contributing and delivering on several development areas.
He has also been involved in setup of SigmaTEK India, which is sales and marketing division for India region. As a Director of SigmaTEK India, he has been involved in identification and onboarding of team, and has extensively worked with the local India market in the early years for business development, pre-sales and technical support activities.
Cornel Warren is a mother of two and wife of one who serves as the Director of Marketing & Inside Sales at SigmaTEK Systems, the global software company that creates and enhances SigmaNEST, industry leading nesting software.
For the last eleven years, Cornel has immersed herself in the tactical application of marketing theory and technology for B2B organizations. Prior to her current role, Cornel co-founded the digital marketing agency SEO Exposed, which she and her partner sold to Orchard in 2016. In addition to heading up SigmaTEK’s global marketing team, Cornel Warren manages the US Inside Sales Team, leading the charge to help professional fabricators succeed by equipping them for the high-tech future of industrial manufacturing.
Cornel earned her MBA from Northern Kentucky University with an emphasis in marketing and holds a Bachelors of Political Philosophy from Cedarville University. She enjoys long, romantic walks down every aisle at Target.
