The seventh annual SigmaTEK Academy is gearing up for some major changes in 2017. This May 9th and 10th the SigmaTEK Academy wants to empower individuals and manufactures to launch into the future of manufacturing.
Here are the mission critical changes you should know about:
1. NEW FOCUS
SigmaTEK academy has gone back to the drawing board and rejuvenated speaking topics for 2017!
- Internet of Things – The concept of connecting any device with an on and off switch to the internet. This includes household favorites like cellphones and washing machines to industrial machines.
- Industrial Automation – The use of control systems like computers or robots, to handle different processes and machineries to replace or aid human beings in the manufacturing process.
- Smart Factory – This concept is the last step in the Industry 4.0 process in which you implement automation and data exchange through methods like cloud computing. If you missed last year’s academy on Industry 4.0, don’t worry we will get you up to speed!
While these terms might seem a little futuristic, there is no better time than now! Your competitors are starting to implement these concepts and SigmaNEST doesn’t want you to be left in the dark!
Still have SigmaNEST questions…don’t worry there will be opportunities to get your software questions answered, it just won’t be the main focus!
2. NEW SPEAKERS
SigmaTEK Academy is working hard to bring industry leading speakers to discuss the current state of manufacturing and practical first steps to help you grow into the important industry trends. Brian Quinn from CBTS will be lecturing on the impact that “The Internet of Things” is making on the manufacturing industry.
3. BIGGER GOALS
SigmaTEK academy wants you to leave our two-day educational event inspired, motivated, and equipped with practical first steps and ideas.
