SIGMATEK EXECUTIVES

Ben TerreBlanche
President & Chief Executive Officer
SigmaTEK Systems, LLC
Ben TerreBlanche founded SigmaTEK Systems, LLC, in 1992, in partnership with Pierre Slabber, his former engineering student at the University of Witwatersrand in his native South Africa. Ben and his family moved to the United States in 1996 to launch the SigmaNEST software product, a powerful CAD/CAM nesting solution that utilizes highly advanced algorithms to automate the nesting process and optimize material use, machine capabilities, and manufacturing processes. Today, SigmaNEST software is widely recognized as the leading nesting software for all major profile cutting machines.
Prior to founding SigmaTEK, Ben started MECAD Systems, an engineering software reselling company. Through this in-depth work with manufacturing software, Ben gained the experience he and his team needed to successfully launch SigmaTEK Systems in the US.
Ben graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1979. He worked as a design engineer, manufacturing engineer, and CAD/CAM software applications engineer until 1984 when he was appointed Senior Lecturer at an Engineering School in SA. After completing his MBA at University of Witwatersrand, he spent a year with Engineering Mechanics Research Corporation in Troy, MI in 1986.
Today, Ben and his family reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, headquarters for SigmaTEK Systems.
