Training

SigmaNEST is a very easy program to use, but it is also very flexible. It has great depth of features and can be applied to a wide variety of situations. Training is thus an important part of achieving successes with your SigmaNEST project. To ensure that you get the optimal use of the software it is essential that you get the proper training.

SigmaTEK offers several courses. For a complete list, see the course content page. These courses are well structured to ensure that everybody gets a good understanding of the software. The training facilities are well equipped and classes are small. This enables us to spend enough time with every student. Every student will get enough hands-on and practical experience to enable them to use the software by the time they complete the training.

There are normally one or two training classes scheduled a month. Please check your closest location.

Locations

Training classes are conducted at the Cincinnati and Seattle offices in the US. Training is also available at SigmaTEK offices in the UK, Italy, Australia and Germany.

At our training facilities we have the opportunity to conduct training in an environment where the interruptions are kept to a minimum and students are allowed to focus. This ensures that the training is effective and of the highest standard.

Times

The SigmaNEST training courses time vary somewhat in different regions but generally run from 8:30 or 9:00 am to approximately 4:30 or 5:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch about half way through the day. Lunch is provided as part of the training package.

Equipment

The training facilities are well equipped. Every student has his/her own computer to work on. The classes are structured to ensure that every student gets hands on experience of the software.

Class Size

The classes are kept small to ensure that individual attention can be given to the students. Normal class size is 6 to 8 students.

Special attention is given to covering the interests and needs of each student. Discussion and questions are encouraged, resulting in an effective learning experience for all attendees.

Previous Experience

3-Day User's Class

No experience on SigmaNEST is necessary for attending the 3 day users course. However, it is essential that you have a basic working knowledge of the Windows operating system. You have to know how to do basic operations like copying a file, deleting a file and editing a text file by using Windows Explorer and Notepad.

Knowledge of reading mechanical engineering drawings is also required.

Advanced Applications Class

Before you can attend the advanced user course you have to attend a 3 day user's course. It is also advisable ( but not essential) to have at least three months experience with SigmaNEST.
