What's New in SigmaNEST Version 8.0
Punching
Option to show floating scrap
Floating scrap percentage is displayed on the nesting workspace status bar.
Complex NC destruct
Brand new auto-tooling algorithm that is designed to handle complex cutouts. Only uses tools from the turret (does not use global tools). Works for internal contours and in-the-box tooling destructs.
Color by reposition
View color coded position display. See individual NC zones, for each position, for better offset viewing.
Manually moving contours in repositions
Manually select certain entity contours and assign them to another NC zone process.
Long-part and long-sheet with multi-reposition for the right angle shear module
Long part or sheet positions are handled for right angle shear type machines.
Direct import of special tool geometry that is editable
From NC you can import special tools to the workspace. Here you can edit the special tool properties or change a feature or aspect of the tool. Save as a new tool version or overwrite the existing special tool.
Prefered exit location for last punch for part removal
Setting the last punch position for the part drop can be designated for a preferred position on all parts. The preferred drop position is highlighted in blue.
Grid punch with reposition-split capability.
Large parts will be repositioned for grid punching. Automatic repositioning occurs if part exceeds the grid punching pattern of the machine zone area.
Cluster punch with tool substitution capability.
Cluster tool substitiution is now available for cluster hole and cluster forming tools.
Optional custom tolerance for each punch tool.
Under Tool Manager and edit tool, a specific tolerance can be assigned to each individual tool.
Multi-tool zones punching reposition.
Mini-tools within multi-tools have their own zones. Which now can respect reposition or clamp safety zones.
Punch mirror functionality.
Vertical and Horizontal mirroring of tools is now available in part mode.
Punch parameters are machine-specific.

General and general-parting parameters are now machine specific. For example, different tolerances can be set for different machines.
Tool manager in nest or part mode selects and displays the selected base turret
The selected base turret is now highlighted in the tool manager.
