Latest CAD files support
SigmaNEST Version 8.0 includes support for AutoCAD 2007 DWG and Cattia V5 files. SigmaNEST 8.0 also includes support for the latest versions of Solid CAD products like SolidWorks 2007, Solid Edge 19, Inventor 11, Pro Engineer Wildfire 3.0 and Unigraphics NX 4.0.
Bevel recognition from a Solid CAD model
SigmaNEST extracts bevel information from a Solid CAD model and applies the bevel information to the part – thus saving time and reducing errors.
Far side recognition on multi-depth parts
Support for router parts with near side and far side pockets has been added to version 8.0
Sketch import and process mapping for router parts
Selected 2D sketches can be imported from Solid CAD programs and different cutting processes can be assigned to the geometry of the sketches. This function is used in router applications where a special process tool like a v-groove tool is required.
View control for sheetmetal parts using topview coordinate system.
Part tracking
Part tracking is a new function that is available for customers that have the work order management module. Parts that are saved in the parts library are tagged and a record is kept of where these parts are used. With the part tracking interface it is possible to see which workspace files the parts are used in.
