Inventory Control

The stock control module in SigmaNEST is an integrated database and stock tracking system for managing plate material in a profile cutting facility. The database contains information about both new stock plates and off-cut material (remnants) and is always up-to-date.

• New plate stock management records receipts, deliveries and work in process.
• Event-based plate inventory consumption tracking.
• Remnant database can be viewed graphically by browsing through available remnants, based on thickness and material type (illustrated at left). Dimensions are also available.
• Remnant inventory can be minimized by means of function to select the most suitable remnants first.
• A large number of attributes are stored for each sheet or remnant, in addition to calculated fields, such as area, weight, cost and status.
• A variety of standard reports include all remnants in stock (showing picture and associated data), list of sheets "in process", list of jobs for specified heat number, etc.
• New plates received, plates sold (not processed) and material consumed can be imported from and exported to other production management (MRP) and inventory control systems.
