Part Cost and Time Estimating

SigmaNEST's machine-specific cost estimating is calculated for both a single part and an entire nest. It uses advanced calculations to incorporate acceleration values, obtaining more accurate cutting times.

• Automatic calculation of area, weight, cut length, cutting time, number of pierces, material requirement and cost using custom cost parameters in custom reports.
• Material requirement estimating calculates the true cost based on the true part area and material thickness, as well as gross weight based on the smallest bounding rectangle.
• Processing time calculation is based on the nominal feed rate for the process, the material and thickness, the machine acceleration (small contours cut slower), part quality specifications, rapid traverse, head up and down and on piercing.
• An integrated costing model is used with user-definable parameters for machine recovery rate, operator cost, floor space and other overhead in addition to consumable materials.
