NC Programming

The NC functions generate Numerical Control tool paths and codes for nesting layouts. SigmaNEST has a rich NC feature set. These are a few highlights:

• Automatic part cut sequence from user-defined start point with manual override.
• Sorting for minimum movement (3 algorithms), minimum heat distortion, skip curring, dropouts and internal contours or preservation of original sequence.
• Multi-process capability
  • Mark text on parts in nesting (vector or ink jet).
  • Center punch marking.
  • Combination machines support: drill head, tap, punch.
  • program for part preference.
  • Program for process preference (e.g. mark all first, then cut).
• Profiling (e.g. thermal distortion locks).
• Ability to clear NC for current or all nests and from individual parts in a nest.
• Sequential or simultaneous multi-torch line cropping.
