SolidWorks Interface

A 3D model of a part can be created in SolidWorks. This part can then be unfolded into the part's flat pattern shape that takes bending allowances and corner details into consideration. The flat pattern shape can be transferred to SigmaNEST directly for nesting and CNC profile cutting.

SolidWorks assemblies involving flat material components such as plywood panels are transferred to SigmaNEST for nesting to optimize material utilization and to generate CNC code for a cutting machine such as a laser cutter or wood router.

The geometry data is transferred directly from SolidWorks to SigmaNEST. The transfer is initiated from within SigmaNEST. It starts SolidWorks transparently in the background, makes the transfer and then shuts SolidWorks down again.

Join the many companies that are using the SolidWorks / SigmaNEST combination to achieve the best productivity in design and, at the same time, achieving the best productivity in material utilization and machine motion.
