Pro/ENGINEER Interface

Pro/ENGINEER is a high end mechanical engineering design system offering parametric solid modeling. The system offers powerful design functionality but has limited functionality when it comes to automatic nesting and CNC post processing for laser, plasma, and water jet cutters.

SigmaNEST dovetails with Pro/ENGINEER to offer the best solution for plate material and sheet metal utilization. Parts and assemblies created in Pro/E that are required to be produced on profile cutting equipment are transferred directly to SigmaNEST for nesting and NC programming.

3D sheet metal parts in Pro/E are unfolded to flat patterns before transferring the profile to SigmaNEST.

A customized Pro/E module is available for automatically transferring batches of parts from Pro/E assemblies to SigmaNEST. SigmaNEST can process the parts with its batch processing function. Nesting and NC programming the parts becomes effortless while the system ensures optimal material yield and minimum cost per part.
