Parametric shapes library

The parametric shapes library has more than 100 predefined shapes. Select one, specify dimensions and the part is complete. New shapes can be added to the library by the user.

File conversion and importing

The program supports: polylines, lines, arcs, layers, text and dimensions. Layers can be mapped to process (e.g. marking, cutting).

Integrated parts database

The parts library is an integrated facility in SigmaNEST that allows the user to easily store and retrieve parts for processing. Parts can be stored in specific customer, project or product areas. The library stores the following information for parts:

• Part number, description and geometry
• Drawing number and material thickness
• Rotation constraints (for grain considerations)
• Mirror constraints (to prefer one side of the material)
• NC information–including lead-in and processes

The part library may be searched on any of the stored attributes.

NC Programming

• Automatic part cut sequence with manual override
• Sorting for minimum movement or minimum heat distortion
• Multi-process capability
• Mark text on parts the nest
• Center punch marking
• Combination machines support (drill heat, tap)
• Program for part preference
• Program for process preference (e.g. mark all first, then cut)
• Profiling (e.g. thermal distortion locks)

Standard Word Address Post Processor

User configurable G-code post processor with multiple processes supported.

These modules are only applicable to SigmaNEST Lite.

Estimating and Quoting

Automatic calculation of part area, weight, cutting time and cost. User-definable cost parameters quote report that is also machine specific.

Word Address NC Import

Reads existing G-code programs.

ESSI Language NC Import

Reads existing ESSI programs.

IGES Import

Reads IGES 2D geometry.

CAD++ Drafting

Integrated 2D CAD drawing package with AutoCAD DWG native file import.

AutoNEST Upgrade

Upgrades the SigmaNEST Lite package to the base level of the standard SigmaNEST product. Once this module is applied to SigmaNEST Lite, all the standard SigmaNEST modules, interfaces, etc. are available.
