Automation & Integration

SigmaNEST's enhanced product now includes an extensive line of automation and integration packages. The below packages can be added to the base SigmaNEST product to facilitate integration with MRP and other internal IT systems, along with automation equipment utilized with cutting machines.

SimTrans

SimTrans is a real-time interface to MRP systems and other internally developed IT systems. It relies on shared database technology to communicate. External systems write information destined for SigmaNEST into the shared database and read from it to obtain status and response information from SigmaNEST. In the following diagram it is represented by the top two interactions. SimTrans offers:

  • On-line plate inventory synchronization
  • Part production, order processing and report back
  • Bill of material processing and batch importing
  • 3 days of on-site implementation and consulting*

* Travel and accommodation expenses are charged separately. Customization of customer's systems, if required, is performed by the customer.

Automation Development Kit

The Automation Development Kit provides for direct manipulation and control of SigmaNEST from another application. SigmaNEST's work space, parts, sheets, etc. are directly available to any program that supports COM or .Net interfaces. The .Net interfaces make it easy to expose SigmaNEST functionality as web services that can be called from any other system that supports web services. This functionality is represented by the bottom two interactions in the preceding diagram. The Automation Development Kit provides:
