SigmaNEST Systems Announces New Dealer in Scandinavia

In a move to strengthen global cooperation, SigmaNEST Systems GmbH and Risk-IT entered into an agreement, in terms of which Risk-IT acquired the rights to distribute SigmaNEST software in the Scandinavian market. The contract has been signed during the Herning Industrimesse in Denmark, which was held from September 4^th until September 7^th, 2007.

This agreement will allow Risk-IT to provide its customers with the latest nesting and profile cutting CAD/CAM technology including advanced, multi-torch automatic nesting, advanced NC programming, punching, HVAC, and database technology.

The Risk-IT / SigmaNEST cooperation will lead to a uniquely powerful solution for companies that use oxyfuel, laser, plasma, punching, routing, and knife cutting machines. This technology allows shipyards, steel service centers, and job shops to take advantage of cutting automation, eliminating manual rework operations, and thus saving costly man-hours and expensive material.

SigmaNEST Systems produces high-end software for programming of punching and profile cutting machines. The company was founded in 1992, in the United States of America under the name SigmaTEK Corporation. The cooperation with Risk-IT is the next step to establish SigmaNEST’s position as a major player and expand it furthermore in the marketplace.

SigmaNEST Systems is not just another supplier of CAD/CAM software, but stives to be a company which will take care of total integration and clearly has a vision of reducing the costs for punching and profile cutting companies.

One of the characteristics of the software is the user-friendly graphical interface and a unique nesting algorithm. This enables the user to save between 5 and 7% on material in comparison with other systems now available in the market.

An additioanl unique feature is the open structure of the post processor. SigmaNEST post processors can be configured for any CNC controller, regardless of brand. This configuration can be done by OEM’s or RISK-IT.

SigmaNEST can be integrated seamlessly with any MRP system and has a direct link with SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Catia, Think3, Unigraphics, and other 3D packages.
