SigmaTEK Announces the Addition of Press Brake Software

May 10, 2007 - SigmaTEK Systems, the industry’s leading automatic nesting and NC programming software for Laser, Plasma, Oxyfuel, Waterjet, Punch, and Router, has recently added press brake software to the comprehensive quality product. To date, SigmaTEK has focused on developing CAD/CAM nesting solutions. In order to further serve the manufacturing, job shop, and service center industries, SigmaTEK now introduces a press brake solution.

The inclusion of press brake software offers a complete solution for the sheet metal industry. A part can be designed from scratch or imported from any CAD software. The process can then be simulated to ensure proper programming, tool setup, and machine specifications. The NC code produced can be used for many types of press brakes. The simple dialog boxes used within the software leads to ease-of-use in order to ensure efficient manpower and machine utilization.

Other features include parametric design tools in order to produce 3D models of many common parts including transitions. These parts can be edited at any time and unfolded to produce 2D flat patterns that can be exported to other CAD systems.
