Applied Engineering becomes Authorized Reseller for SigmaNEST®

Maple Grove, MN, January 5, 2011 - Applied Engineering, Inc. (AE) announced that it has partnered with SigmaTEK Systems, and is now authorized to sell all SigmaNEST software products. As a part of the agreement, Applied Engineering will be providing software sales, training and support for customers throughout the United States.

SigmaTEK provides software solutions to enhance efficiency and profitability for sheet metal, wood, and composite fabricators through its CAD/CAM nesting platform – SigmaNEST.

"SigmaNEST is a best-in-class solution for sheet metal manufacturing," says David Johanning, Vice President of Sales and Operations. "We are excited to add SigmaNEST products into our recommended solutions for manufacturing, along with SolidCAM and InventorCAM."

In addition to SigmaNEST, Applied Engineering will be offering additional software modules that are fully integrated with SigmaNEST and provide end-to-end manufacturing solutions. The additional modules offered include:

  • AutoNEST for rectangular and manual nesting.
  • SimTrans for integration between SigmaNEST and the MRP system
  • TrueShape for dynamic, part-in-part nesting for reducing or eliminating scrap.
  • Techno for optimizing machine through-put with advanced nesting and NC programming.
  • PowerPack for automatic nesting for punch machines.
  • Maximizer for job tracking and inventory control.
  • SigmaBEND for offline programming system for a wide variety of press brake machines.
  • SigmaNEST Punch Basic for single part nesting with punch machines.
  • SigmaTUBE for tube-cutting laser and plasma machines.
